We are seeking a proactive and dedicated Estate Maintenance Caretaker to join our dynamic team of engineers at a prestigious 6* private estate in Surrey. You will work alongside the Chief Engineer, Estate Engineer, Estate Maintenance Technician, and Painter & Decorator to ensure the estate is maintained to the highest standard.

Key Responsibilities:

General Maintenance & Repairs:

Repair doors, windows, and other building installations.

Install shelving, display boards, flat-pack furniture, and other general installations.

Plumbing & Electrical: Perform basic plumbing tasks, such as fixing leaks and clearing blockages. Handle basic electrical work, including changing bulbs and cleaning lamps and shades.

Contractor Supervision: Oversee external contractors when in-house repairs are not possible or for ongoing works.

Cleaning & Pool Maintenance: Undertake cleaning tasks across the estate as directed. Net and clean pools and water features.

Outdoor Maintenance: Maintain and organise external furniture and play equipment. Pressure wash external areas and remove debris, leaves, and bird waste.

Waste Management: Clear rubbish and manage waste across the estate.

Health & Safety Compliance: Ensure compliance with Health and Safety regulations, policies, and procedures related to the estate and grounds.

Essential Skills & Experience: Experience in a maintenance role with practical knowledge of general DIY.

Ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Strong organisational and time management skills.

Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

Physically capable of lifting and performing manual labour.

Friendly, proactive, and enthusiastic attitude with a strong work ethic.

Fluent in spoken and written English.

Clean UK Driving Licence and flexibility to work across other sites if required.

Additional Requirements:

Willingness to work out-of-hours occasionally and demonstrate flexibility during peak times, particularly when the client is in residence.

Ability to assist with tasks that may fall outside your main responsibilities, as requested by the Head of Department.

Working Hours: 8am to 5pm, Tuesday to Saturday (flexibility required during summer and when the client is in residence)

Annual Leave: 28 days (no entitlement to public holidays)
