We have an exciting opportunity for a talented Head Chef to join our client, an exclusive 5-star property based in Surrey. Head Chef Role:As the Head Chef, you will work as part of a large and talented culinary team. You will provide culinary excellence, ensuring that you and your team are exceeding expectations. You will provide pro-active business-driven leadership to the Kitchen team, whilst assuming overall responsibility for their daily operational effectiveness. You will push a commitment to excellence in the service provided whilst achieving maximum profitability. Manage the production of exceptional quality food within this 5* establishment within budget throughout all food outlets. Outlets include Restaurant, Bar, Café, Staff Restaurant and all Event Catering.This Head Chef position offers an excellent salary package + bonus + benefits including:*Birthday day off - paid*Bike to Work Scheme*Long Service Award Scheme*Private Medical Scheme*Healthcare Cash Plan *Employee Assistance Programme *Enhanced maternity/paternity pay*Corporate Gym and Spa Membership*Generous retail discounts *Restricted use of facilities *Social events and parties *discount on all food items whilst dining*discount in the Spa and Shop*Company social events*On-site parking available*Training & DevelopmentKey Responsibilities:*To lead and develop all F&B areas within operational brief. *To provide a varied range of dishes, changing menus according to season and at other times as required.*To ensure that all food costs are planned in advance working within agreed budgets at all times.*To order all food products, using nominated suppliers and ensuring the highest quality produce is used at all times.*To plan the staffing requirements ensuring an efficient and effective operation at all times, within the agreed payroll budgets.*To work in conjunction with management at all times in terms of staffing requirements and food quality production.*To work closely with all other departments as required to ensure the highest standards of service are delivered to members at all times.*To ensure all Company and statutory requirements are met in relation to Food Hygiene regulations, working closely with the kitchen porters as appropriate.*To provide clear recipes, illustrations and guidelines to assist in the preparation of all standard dishes.*To be responsible for the effective management of all staff related issues including recruitment, rota planning, communication, performance, motivation and training*To ensure all systems and procedures are followed.*To create HACCP routinesKnowledge, Skills & Experience:*Previous experience in a luxury hotel or restaurant, would be highly beneficial but not essential *Someone who is serious about standards and is genuinely passionate about the quality of the food they prepare *A self-motivated and hardworking individual who is a team player *An individual with impeccable cleaning standards, who is dedicated in maintaining a safe and pleasant environment*A minimum of two years' experience as a Head Chef/Executive Chef.*NVQ Level 4 Culinary/Chef qualification*Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of allergens, food safety and hygiene, health and safety, COSHH, HACCP, RIDDOR and relevant audits, EHO, CSC etc.*People management*Must be a team player and work well with and train others.*A desire to produce food to the highest quality and presentation.*Having the ability to adapt efficiently to individual requestsPersonal Attributes:*Able to communicate effectively at all levels*Ability to work independently and use initiative*Demonstrate great teamwork*Able to prioritise and work under pressure*Flexible and adaptable to the changing demands of the business*Attention to detail*Previous similar experience within a 5* luxury hotel or restaurant environment is desirable*Interest and passion for learning.If you are a passionate Head Chef with a 5 Star background looking for your next exciting opportunity in your career, please apply now!Scattergood's are acting as an agency on behalf of this vacancy.
