This is an exciting new role ideally suited to a retail sales professional with a love of animals and experience of selling in the pet industry. You will be tasked with building relationships with new and existing independent retailers and small wholesalers, promoting the brand and encouraging sales wherever possible

Your role will involve:

  • Providing account coverage and developing relationships with existing customers and canvassing for new accounts
  • Conducting regular visits to pet shops to promote products, identify sales opportunities, and provide support as needed
  • Providing product training to customers
  • Agreeing and locating Point of Sales in-store to help develop brand awareness and product insight in store
  • Increasing distribution and visibility of products within existing and new accounts
  • Providing retailer training on utilising the new B2C web site, ensuring products are effectively merchandised on retailer’s web sites, providing customers with up-to-date product images and content
  • Representing at trade shows, helping to set up the stand and promote brand awareness, product training, customer support, and work to build relationships with key stakeholders. (Some weekend working may be required)
  • Completing product data forms and sales forecasting to ensure accurate inventory
  • Daily administration, processing orders received from customers onto the order system

You will be the ideal candidate due to your:

  • Self-motivated and results driven skills with proven sales experience, including consultative selling skills, with a background in field sales, or selling to smaller businesses
  • Ability to canvass and prospect for new business
  • Demonstrated ability to drive sales growth and achieve targets within a territory
  • Outgoing personality, with exceptional verbal communication and written skills for presenting and building a rapport with customers
  • Ability to engage, train and inform customers with proven experience of developing and implementing commercial strategies across a range of products
  • Previous experience in the Pet Sector and a love of animals is a must!
