Fire Safety Consultant

A specialist, boutique fire safety consultancy is seeking an experienced Fire Safety Consultant to join their collaborative team.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a Fire Safety Consultant to work on complex projects requiring pragmatic and bespoke fire safety solutions.

Your role as a Fire Safety Consultant will involve delivering high-quality Fire Risk Assessments (FRAs) and consultancy services across a diverse range of building archetypes, from heritage and architecturally significant properties to commercial, retail, and residential premises.

• Conducting retrospective fire strategies, fire safety management plans, fire safety audits, occupancy calculations, and reviews.
• Providing consultancy advice on fire safety matters, including site monitoring as part of Stage 5 development processes.
• Assessing compliance with Building Regulations 2010, the Fire Safety Order (FSO), and the Fire Safety (England) Regulations 2022.
• Applying BS9999, BS9991, BS7974, PD 7974-6:2004, and other relevant codes of practice.
• Engaging with clients, stakeholders, and accountable persons to ensure best practice and compliance with the Building Safety Act 2022.

• Degree educated ideally/ not essential
• CFPA Diploma
• Level 4/5 Diploma in Fire Safety
• Practical understanding of fire safety legislation and building regulations
• Extensive experience conducting FRAs, retrospective fire strategies, and fire safety audits
• Strong knowledge of Approved Documents, BS standards, and fire engineering principles
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for report writing and client engagement
