this brand new exciting Cloud Engineer role for a Leading UK Charity The role is pivotal in ensuring the reliability, security, and performance of our cloud-based infrastructure. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to implement, maintain, and optimise our Azure environment. Implementing continuous improvements to our guardrails and policies to deliver stable, resilient and secure cloud solutions.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Azure & M365 Management: Deploy, configure, and maintain Azure infrastructure (VMs, storage, networking, Entra ID, M365 services).
  • Monitoring & Security: Implement monitoring, logging, and security best practices (Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Defender, compliance frameworks).
  • Automation & Scripting: Automate deployments and configurations using PowerShell, Azure CLI, ARM, or Terraform.
  • Incident Response & Optimisation: Troubleshoot incidents, optimise resource utilisation, and drive cost efficiency.
  • Disaster Recovery & Continuity: Develop and test DR and BC strategies to ensure system resilience.
  • Collaboration: Work with security, DevOps, and IT teams to enhance infrastructure security and performances
  • Required Skills & Experience:
  • Proven experience managing Azure and M365 in production environments.
  • Strong knowledge of Azure IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, and networking (VNETs, VPNs, ExpressRoute).
  • Proficiency in automation and scripting (PowerShell, Azure CLI, Terraform).
  • Experience with endpoint management & security (Intune, Autopilot, Defender).
  • Familiarity with DevOps tools (Azure DevOps, Git, CI/CD).
  • Azure certifications (Azure Administrator, Solutions Architect) preferred.
  • Knowledge of ITIL service management is a plus.
