About the Job:As the Solar Planning Manager you will oversee the planning, design, and development of large-scale solar projects. This role is responsible for ensuring that projects meet regulatory requirements, adhere to project timelines, and stay within budget. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in solar energy planning, permitting, and project management.

  • Lead the planning and permitting processes for solar projects, ensuring compliance with local regulations.
  • Manage feasibility studies, site assessments, and environmental impact assessments.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams including engineering, construction, legal and environmental consultants.
  • Develop project timelines, budgets and resource plans to ensure projects are delivered on schedule and within scope.
  • Responsible for monitoring project risks and implement mitigation strategies as well as reviewing technical documentation, ensuring accuracy in layout, electrical design and site planning.

About You:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in land planning or development, ideally within the renewable energy sector.
  • Bachelor’s degree in urban planning, environmental science, or related field is advantageous.
  • Strong understanding of solar project permitting and regulatory framework as well as environmental regulations and land use planning.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proficient in GIS, AutoCAD, mapping tools, and Microsoft Office.
  • Full driving license and willingness to travel.
