I have a career developing opportunity for an L&D specialist to join the L&D function of this fantastic national client as their LMS Manager to help expand their digital learning experience by championing the Learning Management System and developing e-learning course material.

The LMS Manager will lead on the design and delivery of high quality innovative blended and digital learning solutions, the full life cycle of the digital learning process and projects. You will also manage the LMS platform and supplier relationships. As custodian of the country’s digital learning programs, the post holder will have responsibility to ensure that the organisation is gaining maximum value from all operational and leadership learning and associated systems.

The role will suit someone who is looking to develop their L&D/e-learning career or maybe an HR Systems professional looking to move into this area who already has insight to the training needs of different employee groups within a business.

The opportunity offers a ÂŁ54K cash package + benefits, flexible hybrid working with 2-3 days from home and 2-3 days in their Surrey or London offices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Working closely with operational teams, utilising the most appropriate structures, tools, approach and delivery models to address operational training business challenges and requirements
  • Potentially managing the LMS Coordinator (if appropriate experience to do so)
  • Overseeing the development, implementation & ongoing maintenance of all centrally managed operational learning content
  • Providing the teams with visible and hands on strategic guidance & support for all digital learning
  • Ensuring appropriate policies, processes and manuals are incorporated into training material to ensure our employees are trained to carry out their job function safely and effectivelyWorking with the subject matter experts to ensure learning material is current and in line with legislation
  • Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate new learning techniques, upgrades and enhancements to our training syllabus
  • Overseeing the development of all digital learning
  • Driving efficiencies and cost savings, focusing on increasing our digital learning portfolio
  • Assume accountability for managing the LMS
  • Maintain knowledge of learning and development best practice and current trends
  • Identify opportunities to streamline or enhance administrative processes and procedures, and offer viable solutions

Key skills include:

• Strong working knowledge of Learning & Development and other people focussed digital applications• Extensive knowledge and experience in managing and administering Learning Management Systems• Excellent written and interpersonal skills• Ideally experience of managing people not essential)• Commercially aware and able to communicate the success of the Learning Department both internally and externally• Robust, collaborative team player with the ability to engage at all levels• Output orientated and business focused• IT literacy and ability to quickly gain a working knowledge of new technology• Curious mindset and keeps up to date with learning technology developments
