About the role
At Glenesk School, we are committed to fostering a nurturing, safe, and inspiring environment for our young learners. As a Nursery Assistant, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the education, welfare, and personal care of our pupils. Working closely with the teaching team, you will help create a dynamic and stimulating learning environment where children can thrive. Your responsibilities will include assisting with classroom activities, supporting the well-being of the children, and contributing to the overall smooth running of the school. You will also engage in lunchtime and break-time duties, promote good behaviour, and ensure that children's safety and welfare are a top priority at all times. With a passion for early childhood education, you'll help children develop a love for learning and set them on the path to success.
This is a part-time role needed Monday and Thursday, 8.30am-4.30pm during term time.

Who we are looking for:
We are seeking a compassionate, reliable, and proactive individual who is dedicated to providing high-quality care and support to young children. You will have a good understanding of child development and early education, and be confident in supporting children with their individual needs. Experience working with children, whether through volunteering or parenting, is essential; experience as a Teaching Assistant in a KS1 classroom is desirable. A relevant qualification in childcare or education would be an advantage. Most importantly, you should be enthusiastic, approachable, and ready to contribute to the vibrant school community at Glenesk School.
