Our client who is a Lloyds Broker, is seeking an Account Handler to join their Specialty team based in the Surrey office. The role will be working within the Sport & Entertainment team, servicing existing clients as well as trying to gain new business.

Main Duties:

  • Respond to enquiries from clients, insurers, and third parties promptly and professionally.
  • Work within agreed authority levels to manage client needs.
  • Advise clients on suitable insurance options based on their demands and needs.
  • Process new business, renewals, midterm adjustments, and lapses in accordance with current procedures and FCA requirements.
  • Input accurate data into back office systems and maintain records.
  • Liaise with insurers and underwriters to secure risk acceptance at favourable rates.
  • Prepare reports on new and existing risks for management.
  • Take responsibility for managing tasks and updates using the Diary System

Essential Skills Required:

  • Commercial insurance experience.
  • Ability to build successful, mutually beneficial business/client relationships.
  • Understanding of broking and underwriting processes.
  • Highly organised, with good planning skills.
  • Able to work flexibly to achieve tight deadlines/targets.

Desirable:

  • Experience with schemes business
  • Completion of, or progress towards, CII qualifications.
