Our client who is a Lloyds Broker, is seeking an Account Handler to join their Specialty team based in the Surrey office. The role will be working within the Sport & Entertainment team, servicing existing clients as well as trying to gain new business.
Main Duties:
- Respond to enquiries from clients, insurers, and third parties promptly and professionally.
- Work within agreed authority levels to manage client needs.
- Advise clients on suitable insurance options based on their demands and needs.
- Process new business, renewals, midterm adjustments, and lapses in accordance with current procedures and FCA requirements.
- Input accurate data into back office systems and maintain records.
- Liaise with insurers and underwriters to secure risk acceptance at favourable rates.
- Prepare reports on new and existing risks for management.
- Take responsibility for managing tasks and updates using the Diary System
Essential Skills Required:
- Commercial insurance experience.
- Ability to build successful, mutually beneficial business/client relationships.
- Understanding of broking and underwriting processes.
- Highly organised, with good planning skills.
- Able to work flexibly to achieve tight deadlines/targets.
Desirable:
- Experience with schemes business
- Completion of, or progress towards, CII qualifications.
