Grafton Banks Finance Executive Search has been exclusively retained to recruit a CFO for a c£25m revenue distribution business in Surrey. This company has grown successfully over the years organically as well as via acquisitions and is now hiring its first CFO to drive the next stage of growth as well as the strategic agenda and take the business through a successful exit in the next three years. The role is onsite based 4 days per week and 1 remotely, so candidates need to be based locally in the Surrey, Sussex, South London area to apply.
The objectives of the role are:
- Develop a 3–5-year financial plan
- Achieve 15-20% year on year EBITDA growth
- Execute a successful exit to PE
- Work with the new investors to double or treble enterprise value over 3-5 years
The role will take full responsibility for the management of all aspects of the finance department as well as IT operations and governance. It reports into the CEO and manages and develops a small finance team.
The position is varied and consists of the following key areas of responsibility:
- Financial strategy, stakeholder management and operational oversight
- Risk management, compliance & governance
- Working capital management
- Investment & M&A
- Commercial reporting, profit & GP
- IT
The CEO and board are looking for someone with the following experience to apply:
- Experience of working in a product-based sector, ideally with an understanding of supply chain and working capital
- Successful company exit experience
- Experience of dealing with private equity
- M&A experience
- EBITDA improvement within a business with a minimum of £10m EBITDA
- Already working as a Finance Director or CFO
