This is a real ‘unicorn’ role: a truly unique opportunity for a highly strategic, commercially focused, and inspirational finance leader to be integral to ensuring a thriving, rapidly expanding digital insurance brokerage achieves its ambitious growth goals.

Demonstrating you appreciate the crucial role you will play in driving the business through strategic change, you’ll need a proven track record in leadership and performance management. Your experience must include for a business which is scaling up. Bringing an aspirational, continual improvement mindset, you will appreciate how to drive process improvement and seize this chance to exercise your entrepreneurial passion for finance value-adds.

To succeed in the role, you will be skilled in identifying and maximising opportunities for cross-functional collaboration – which means you will need to be a consummate and adaptable team player. An excellent communicator, you’ll understand how to inspire, motivate and empower a team to embrace and successfully lean into new challenges.

Established over 15 years ago, this Surrey-based company is unlike any other brokerage you’ll have encountered. It is realising its strong ambitions to increase growth in the UK, and accelerating the development of its European business, as well as scaling up its product development. 

The role also covers at least one sister company specialising in a surprising - and entirely unrelated – sector, so you will need to have an innate ability to spread your expertise and appreciate the financial challenges and opportunities of more than one sector.

You must be a fully qualified accountant or Actuary with a strong track record in a senior leadership finance role, and background experience in brokerage. It will be advantageous if you’ve worked with actuaries.

You’ll be required to spend at least four days based in its offices in a beautiful and historic riverside town in the heart of Surrey. There are excellent transport connections to London and beyond so commuting is an option.
