Recoveries Manager

James George Recruitment have partnered with a highly successful Asset Finance House, that is strengthening their Collections and Recoveries team. We are looking for a Recoveries Manager who will provide leadership and management to a small team of Recoveries Account Managers and a Team Leader.

Key responsibilities will include:

- Working closely with the Head of Collections to develop, implement and continuously refine the collections strategies in the Recoveries team and in alignment with business goals.

- Lead, mentor and inspire a team of Recovery Account Managers, fostering a culture of high performance, collaboration and professional growth.

- Monitor and manage delinquency rates, credit losses, and recovery rates, within set KPI’s, identifying emerging trends and implementing proactive measures to mitigate risks.

- Continuously improve collections processes, workflows, and tools to enhance efficiency while maintaining compliance with regulatory guidelines.

- Collaborate closely with cross functional teams, including Credit, Legal, Compliance, Customer Services and Sales, to align collections strategies and share insights for comprehensive risk management.

- Oversee relationships with external collections agencies and service providers, ensuring robust contracts are in place and vendor performance aligns with the bank’s expectations and goals.

- Provide regular updates to Head of Collections and Senior Management on Portfolio Performance, Collections Metrics, Key Initiatives and potential areas of concern.

Your background:

- 3-5 years’ experience of managing a Recoveries Team within the Financial Services Industry (Ideally Asset Finance).

- Creative and Innovative in the way you come up with solutions and drive the transformation of the Recoveries team.

- Strong leadership skills and the ability to grow, inspire and develop high performing teams.

- Commercially Minded with Good Negotiation Skills

- Excellent Communication & Stakeholder Management Skills.

- Ability to thrive is a Fast-Paced Environment.

- Strong organisation skills and ability to be flexible and agile.
