KS3 Teacher – Nurture Programme

  • Hours: 40 hours per week - Term Time only

This role is ideal for a qualified teacher who is passionate about making a significant impact in the lives of students through our nurture programme.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities
  • Deliver and develop the curriculum, considering the educational, physical, and social needs of the students.
  • Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to enhance educational outcomes.
  • Utilize and maintain planning resources to effectively deliver the curriculum.
  • Set, monitor, and review personalised learning targets to optimize student development.
  • Assess and report on student progress to parents, staff, and relevant bodies as per school policies.
  • Develop lesson plans with a reflective approach to teaching and learning.
  • Manage classroom dynamics, ensuring a structured learning environment that promotes motivation and engagement.
  • Handle challenging behaviours within the framework of school policies.
  • Contribute to the review and development of EHC plans and other statutory processes.
Required Skills & Qualifications
  • Qualified Teacher Status or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Experience in a special school setting, particularly with pupils with ASC and SEND.
  • Proven ability to deliver a differentiated curriculum to pupils with diverse needs.
  • Desirable: Further qualifications in SEND.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the national curriculum and its application to students with autism and complex needs.
