Exam Invigilator

TimePlan Education are working with Secondary Schools in Surrey and South West London who are needing support during their upcoming summer exam period.

Exam Invigilator job duties include :

  • Ensuring all candidates have an equal opportunity to demonstrate their abilities
  • Ensuring the security of the examination before, during and after the examination
  • Preventing possible candidate malpractice
  • Preventing possible administrative failures
  • Liaising with the examination officer and senior invigilator


Hours of work

Hours can very dependent on the school / exam; sometimes half days and sometimes full days but you will always know prior to commiting. There is also opportunity for full time roles in this for a fixed term period.

Experience to work as an Exam Invigilator

Experience isn't need for this role as you will need to undertake our online training which will see you meet the JCQ (Joint Council for Qualification) requirements.

  • Good organisational skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Ability to use initiative
  • Can pay attention to detail
  • Well-presented & punctual
