Parts Manager

£40,000-£44,000 Basic + up to £4,000 Bonus + Vehcile + Fuel

Red Sky are currently looking for a Parts Manager working in a busy workshop. The workshop is home to all GSE (Ground Support Equipment) equipment making it very different from the normal!

Automotive Parts Managerial experience is essential for this position coupled with a full manauel drivers licence

Automotive Parts Manager Main Purpose of the role

Manage, coach, and develop a team, embodying the business core values. Handle stock and customer expectations in a busy environment, meeting KPIs for Parts Excellence and ensuring excellent customer service. Oversee receiving, storing, issuing, and recording traceability of all materials and equipment. Regular customer meetings required. Training provided for daily activities in a dynamic store’s environment. Travel between locations (Heathrow, Gatwick, Luton, Manchester, Stansted, Edinburgh, Glasgow, and others as needed)

Automotive Parts Manager Main Responsibilities

Materials Issue

Oversee daily Parts department activities, prioritising customer service and communication. Coach and develop staff, monitor KPIs, implement action plans, and meet business goals. Work with customers to interpret requirements and advise on parts/services. Identify technician needs, provide prompt counter service, and respond to calls courteously. Issue materials with correct paperwork, purchase locally as needed, and pack stock orders for delivery. Ensure proper booking of parts, deliver materials to work areas, update the Workshop Supervisor, and organise parts delivery to other entities.

Goods Inward

Check and receipt deliveries, unload vehicles safely, and drive the Forklift Truck (if licensed). Organise the quarantine area, notify suppliers of damaged goods or short shipments, and locate and label new stock items. Ensure parts are sorted for collection or delivery to correct locations.

Stock Control

Participate in stock counts and reconcile against ELC inventory. Ensure stock items have barcodes, maintain full traceability of all materials/items, and store items appropriately based on size and weight.

Automotive Parts Manager Experience & Qualifications

× Full UK driving license as driving to other sites will be required

× Minimum Level of commercial vehicle knowledge

× Minimum level 2 city and Guilds or IMI qualification

× Proven people management experience

× Prior experience in fast paced engineering sector
