The Company:This company is a world leader when it comes to creating high-end technology with a diverse range of products. As part of the backbone of their business they have an incredible research centre where they explore into different type of technology and products and data to come up with new ways to optimise their own products.

Within this department is a team specialising in Graphic Research. They will be developing innovative way to optimise and enhance the performance of their product line.

The Role:

Are you a Senior Engineer with an interest in Mobile devices, low level graphics and GPU development?

Do you want to be involved in, and a part of the team responsible for the new wave of this companies' devices?

As a Senior Engineer in this Research Centre, help to lead efforts to develop and implement new graphic features and was to optimise the hardware or the devices.

You will have an opportunity to work closely with cross-functional teams and work on low level graphic APIs as well as programming for the GPUs.

Skills:

Essentials: C++ - C - Vulkan - OpenGL - DirectX

Nice to Have: SKIA - SurfaceFlinger - GPU drivers - Android OS - JAVA - Python

Responsibilities:

  • Drive innovations to enhance real-time rendering pipelines, ensuring industry-leading performance.
  • Design and implement core features and extensions for the Android Graphics stack, including SurfaceFlinger, SKIA, and HWUI.
  • Evaluate diverse graphics workloads, pinpoint performance bottlenecks, and optimize for efficiency and power consumption.
  • Build high-performance middleware libraries utilizing graphics and compute APIs such as Vulkan and OpenGL ES.
  • Set up and validate new devices, collaborating with cross-functional teams to define and implement new user experience requirements.
  • Take ownership of key technical components within assigned projects, ensuring successful delivery and quality.
  • Translate complex technical and functional specifications into clear, detailed designs and effective implementations.
