Planning Officer

Carrington West are assisting their local authority client based in Surrey in their search for a Planning Officer to join their Development Management team. This will be offered on a 3 + month rolling you will be expected to deal with a caseload of householder and minor applications.
 
We are looking for a qualified Town Planner with recent local authority planning experience and the ability to hit the ground running in picking up their own caseload. The key responsibilities will be manage a caseload of householder and minor applications; candidates that are able to demonstrate experience within a Green Belt or rural local authority would be preferable although not mandatory. Candidates should demonstrate a good level of experience within a Local Planning Authority Development Management department having handled a caseload of applications.
 
Our client is willing to offer a flexible working situation, although there is an expectation of site visits on a weekly basis.
 
It would be beneficial to hold a RTPI accredited Planning Degree or equivalent Planning qualification and/or have experience in a similar position.
