We are currently recruiting an Interim Payroll Manager for a Surrey based Charity who are in need of immediate support in the team.

The Interim Payroll Manager will be hands on to manage generation on monthly payroll, accurately and on time. Providing oversight of the prompt payment of all statutory deductions and maintain strong relationships with the People Team.

It is a great charitable organisation who need Interim support to bridge the gap during a period of transition. Working in the Surrey based office on a hybrid basis.

Duties and Responsibilities include but aren't limited to:

o Accurate computation of the monthly payroll on time, incorporating enhancements and

overtime and all notified amendments from the People Team.

o Preparation of the payroll in the format proscribed by the Head of Finance.

o Preparation of all year-end payroll reporting, including P11Ds.

o Maintenance of all internal control information (e.g. starters & leavers, gross pay

reconciliations).

o Preparation of any additional management information reporting (e.g. overtime and bank

analyses).

o Timely completion of all relevant payroll control account information.

o Maintenance of effective liaison with HMRC and with the various pensions' agencies. Essential

that the payroll manager remains fully briefed on all current developments.

o Outreach role to the organisation, with effective liaison with key staff teams

o Responsible for comprehensive working knowledge of the payroll system and for ensuring

effective liaison with both internal and supplier IT/systems leads.

o Responsible for complying with all relevant reporting requirements to HMRC.

o As directed by the Head of Finance, responsible for the preparation of relevant elements of

the annual accounts.

o Responsible for the effective management and training of the Payroll Supervisor.

o Perform other duties and responsibilities as reasonably expected to ensure the efficient

operation and success of the charity.
