Senior Payroll Manager | Surrey | £80,000-£90,000 plus bonus | Global Consumer brand

A Payroll Manager is required to work for a leading luxury brand based in Central London with the expectations of three days in the office. This is an opportunity to work for a large, globally recognised brand, this is a key role as the business is now looking to strengthen its internal processes to help facilitate further growth globally.

Reporting to the Head of Finance, you will be operating as the number one in payroll, overseeing a small team, and taking ownership of the payroll process for both UK and Ireland. A key part of this role will be developing system, improving the existing processes, as well as managing a team.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Overseeing the payroll for employees based in the UK and Ireland
  • Driving efficiencies within the payroll department including implementing new systems and improving the existing processes
  • Management and development of a small team of Payroll Clerks
  • Management of expat payroll including article 82 taxable and non-taxable pay
  • Responsibility for the payroll year-end including P11d's and PSA monthly assessment
  • Operating as a member of the finance management team, including attending management meetings

The successful candidate will ideally be CIPP qualified and will have experience working as a Payroll Manager/Head of Payroll within a global business. Prior system development experience is essential, as is knowledge of Workday. You will have experience managing a team of Payroll Clerks and will have proven experience in developing your team. Experience working in the consumer industry is beneficial but not essential. You will be proactive in nature, be a natural leader, and have excellent communication skills to be able to succeed in this role.
