IT Project Manager - Hybrid working - INSIDE IR35

We have a brand new IT project Manager role working for one of biggest customers based in the Financial Services sector.  The role itself is for an initial 6 months on a hybrid working model of 2-3 days in the office a week.

The Project Manager role is within the Project Delivery team, reporting to the Head of Project Delivery.

The purpose of this role is to project manage the implementation of a global arrangement that the client has emabarked on with an international 3rd party / outsourcer.  The aim of the project is to transform the workplace and service desk environment.  The successful candidate will need to have experience creating and running a plan to see this transition run through and smoothly.  There will be many different facets to manage ranging between technology, procurement, legal, HR and the people. 

KEY SKILLS:

  • Proven experience of managing projects that change the IT organisational design, ideally in a Financial Services environment
  • Proven experience of managing work that involves HR, Legal, Procurement and external suppliers
  • Stature & gravitas to operate alongside senior stakeholders in IT and the wider business.
  • Proven leadership skills with drive and dynamic approach to drive pace and commitment across the team and build trusted long-term relationships with stakeholders
  • Excellent Knowledge of project management practices, methods and tools
  • Project/Programme Management Certification (e.g. APMP, Prince2, SAFE, or equivalent)
  • Strong commercial acumen and business awareness. Extensive knowledge of relevant systems and processes and full understanding of potential impact of projects and the confidence and experience to provide innovative solutions and initiatives
  • Strong technology awareness (systems, technologies, development cycles)
