JE146: Mobile Plant EngineerLocation: Surrey Salary: £41,000 + Overtime + Bonus Overview:First Military Recruitment are currently seeking a Mobile Plant Engineer on behalf of one of our clients.Our client encourages applications from ex-military personnel however all candidates will be given due consideration.Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Maintenance and Repair: Perform routine maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on a range of mobile plant equipment, including [specific machinery, e.g., excavators, loaders, crushers].
  • Fault Diagnosis: Identify and troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues to implement effective solutions promptly.
  • Preventative Maintenance: Conduct regular inspections and preventative maintenance to ensure equipment longevity and reliability.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair activities, including parts used and time allocated.
  • Health and Safety Compliance: Adhere to all company health and safety policies, ensuring a safe working environment at all times.
  • Customer Interaction: Liaise with site personnel to schedule maintenance activities, minimizing disruption to operations.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Educational Background: City & Guilds Level 2 or 3 in Plant Maintenance and Repair or equivalent qualification.
  • Experience: Proven experience as a Plant Fitter, with a strong background in maintaining and repairing heavy plant machinery.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems.
