Kitchen Assistant

Working Monday to Friday at £11.89

25 hours per week, 9.30am-2.30pm.

Term Time - 36 weeks + 4 weeks paid holiday

Working for a well-established and respected Contract Catering Company our client is actively seeking to recruit a Kitchen Assistant to join their full complement of Kitchen staff and assist with provisioning a first-rate catering.

Your principle duties will be to, set out and prepare tables and chairs for meal times, assist with food service during meal times, and subsequently conduct clear down and cleaning duties in a timely manner. Ideally you will have some experience of working in a professional Kitchen environment and will readily: -

  • Co-operate with all team members and undertake duties in the kitchen / service areas as requested to ensure an effective service is delivered at all times
  • Clean and wash up all kitchen and service items in an efficient manner.
  • Keep the kitchen and restaurant areas in a clean and tidy state at all times.
  • Operate Kitchen equipment according to the Clients and Manufacturers Hygiene, Health & Safety polices
  • Possess a willingness to work under pressure and in timely manner
  • Provide a friendly, efficient service to all work Colleagues and Customers.
  • Show commitment to Company values in all aspects of the role

Possessing the ability to work well upon your own, or as part of the kitchen team you will also: -

  • Have friendly and polite communication skills
  • Have the physical ability to work largely on your feet
  • Possess a willingness to work under pressure and in a suitable manner
  • Provide an efficient service to all work Colleagues, School Staff and Students.

NB: As this role is based within a School you must clear an enhanced DBS check. This will be undertaken by the Client.

Note: Due to the more remote location you will need your own reliable means of transport.
