Senior Town Planner - Exciting Opportunity in Surrey

Key Responsibilities:

Lead planning applications for residential developments from initial concept to submission.
Work closely with internal teams, external consultants, and local authorities to ensure the successful delivery of planning projects.
Provide expert advice on planning policy and regulations, offering creative and practical solutions to complex planning challenges.
Manage and mentor junior planning staff, providing support and guidance for their professional development.
Attend planning committee meetings, public consultations, and other stakeholder events as required.
Maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and a collaborative approach.

Essential Requirements:

A minimum of 5 years of experience in town planning, ideally within a development or consultancy environment.
A degree in Town Planning or a related field, with MRTPI accreditation.
Strong knowledge of UK planning legislation, policies, and procedures.
Experience in managing residential planning applications and navigating local authority processes.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build relationships with key stakeholders.
Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
