Job Type: Part time, Permanent

Working Hours: Working 10 hours a week Monday to Sunday various hours depending on Ash Centre bookings. Overtime shifts may also be available.

The Role:

We have an opportunity for a part time Centre Assistant to support the small admin team within the Parish of Ash.

This is an opportunity for an individual with practical skills who enjoys being active. Please be aware the role will involve some loan working, so does need someone who is comfortable with this and is self-motivated.

Key Duties:

  • Setting up the room/hall as per the specification from the hirer, which includes lifting tables, chairs, sporting equipment, IT equipment and using cleaning equipment by themselves.
  • Ensuring the smooth running of the function
  • Cleaning and packing away the room/hall once the function has finished
  • Setting up for the next day's hire

About you:

You will need:

  • A degree of physical fitness due to the nature of the role
  • A can-do attitude
  • An aptitude for working with the general public as you will often be the first point of contact for people entering the Ash Centre
  • A desire to learn on the job is essential as the role is varied and requires the individual to make the booking successful for the hirer
