An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Production Planner to join a growing clean-tech company at the forefront of sustainable transport refrigeration. This role offers the chance to play a key part in coordinating and scheduling production workflows, ensuring that manufacturing orders are met efficiently and on time.

About the Role:
As a Production Planner, you will act as the crucial link between the Supply Chain and Production teams, ensuring material availability, prioritising key parts, and facilitating cross-departmental communication. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to effectively collaborate with multiple stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain comprehensive production schedules to meet manufacturing orders and project deadlines.
  • Work closely with engineering, procurement, inventory, and operations teams to monitor stock levels, identify shortages, and escalate critical material gaps.
  • Analyse production requirements, capacity constraints, and material availability to develop feasible production plans.
  • Serve as the central point of contact between Programme, Supply Chain, and Production teams to provide updates on material constraints, delays, and resolutions.
  • Translate sales forecasts into actionable supply and production plans, ensuring alignment with demand fluctuations and capacity constraints.
  • Monitor production progress, identify potential bottlenecks, and implement corrective actions to maintain schedule adherence.
  • Communicate production schedules, priorities, and updates to relevant stakeholders.
  • Work closely with procurement to ensure timely availability of materials and components required for production.
  • Continuously evaluate and optimise production planning processes to improve efficiency, reduce lead times, and minimise waste.
  • Maintain accurate production records and documentation, including schedules, inventory levels, and performance metrics.

Skills & Experience Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, industrial engineering, operations management, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in production planning, demand planning, or supply chain coordination in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data and implement effective solutions.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across multiple departments.
  • Proficiency in production planning software or ERP/MRP systems is highly desirable.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
  • A commitment to continuous improvement and operational excellence in production planning and scheduling.
