A specialist maintenance provider is seeking an experienced and motivated Gas Maintenance Service Engineer to join their team. The company focuses on the maintenance and repair of gas forges, hearths, and safety devices within educational institutions. This role involves delivering planned preventative maintenance, diagnosing faults, and performing general breakdown repairs, all while adhering to the highest standards of safety and professionalism.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in gas maintenance, a solution-oriented approach, and the flexibility to work away from home during the week.

Gas Maintenance Service Engineer - Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance on gas forges, hearths, and safety devices used in educational environments.
  • Diagnose and repair faults and breakdowns in line with industry regulations and company standards.
  • Ensure strict compliance with all relevant safety protocols and guidelines.
  • Represent the company professionally, maintaining a high standard of appearance and conduct.
  • Foster and maintain positive relationships with clients and onsite staff.
  • Efficiently organize and manage workload, including extended hours and travel requirements.
  • Provide clear and concise communication to clients and colleagues, both written and verbal.

Gas Maintenance Service Engineer - Qualifications:

  • Holds valid commercial gas safe qualifications (COCNPILS, ICPNILS, TPCPI, TPCPIA).
  • Demonstrates proven experience in gas maintenance and repair, preferably within educational settings.
  • Willingness to travel and work away from home (Monday to Thursday).
  • Possesses a valid UK driving license and a clear DBS check.
  • Exhibits strong problem-solving skills and performs well under pressure.
  • Displays excellent communication abilities and a customer-focused mindset.
