We are currently recruiting for a Childrens Occupational Therapist to start an exciting opportunity based in a school in Surrey. These young people come from diverse background, with different needs and all come from different walks of life. You will have the training and support to carry out the duties required. Due to the nature of the job, our client offers negotiation on a full time or part time contract with a fair and manageable caseload and further training in your portfolio.

Main Duties for the Childrens Occupational Therapist includes.

  • Provide advice, treatment and management to address the children and family's needs, based on sound clinical reasoning.
  • Support in the development of training packages to school staff / parents / other professionals as required
  • Support them in identifying concerns regarding the child /young person's needs and implement therapy advice effectively.

To Be Successful

  • Previous experience working as a Childrens Occupational Therapist but will accept candidates with adults experience!
  • Have experience and be skilled in delivering therapeutic interventions for children and young people with complex needs
  • Need experience of supporting teams around a child or young person to ensure they are being provided with clinically informed living and learning environments and experiences
  • Be a confident, engaging and effective, model, guide, leader and trainer.
  • Be highly organised and ready to take the initiative
  • Be committed to ensuring the best outcomes for young people
  • HCPC Registration
  • Enhanced DBS/CRB (we can obtain for you)
