We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Groundworks SSTS to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role, ensuring that groundwork is completed to the highest standards. This position requires a proactive individual who can manage tasks effectively and supervise site activities when necessary.
Responsibilities
- Carry out groundwork tasks including excavation, drainage, and laying foundations.
- Manage men, site and safety paperwork.
- Manage site cleanliness and organisation to promote a safe working environment.
- Provide guidance on best practices.
- Collaborate with other tradespeople to ensure project timelines are met.
- Conduct regular inspections of work areas to identify potential hazards or issues.
- Maintain accurate records of work completed and report any discrepancies to management.
Skills
- Strong ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining attention to detail.
- Experience in supervising teams and fostering a collaborative work environment.
- Proficient in the use of construction tools and machinery relevant to groundwork activities.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to adapt to changing situations on-site.
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with team members and management.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations within the construction industry is essential.
