About the RoleWe are seeking a dedicated and organised School Attendance Officer to join our team in Redhill, Surrey. The successful candidate will play a key role in monitoring and improving student attendance, working closely with parents, teachers, and senior leadership to support our school's objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and track student attendance data, ensuring accuracy and timely reporting.
  • Follow up with families regarding unexplained absences and provide support to encourage regular attendance.
  • Work with school staff to identify patterns of absence and implement strategies to address concerns.
  • Ensure compliance with school policies and local authority regulations on attendance.
  • Support the development and implementation of initiatives to improve attendance across the school.
  • Maintain up-to-date records and produce reports for senior leadership.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Strong organisational skills with an eye for detail.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and improving attendance.
  • Experience working in a school or education setting (desirable but not essential).
  • Knowledge of relevant policies and legislation related to school attendance.
  • Sims and or Bromcom experience
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
