About the RoleWe are seeking a dedicated and organised School Attendance Officer to join our team in Redhill, Surrey. The successful candidate will play a key role in monitoring and improving student attendance, working closely with parents, teachers, and senior leadership to support our school's objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and track student attendance data, ensuring accuracy and timely reporting.
- Follow up with families regarding unexplained absences and provide support to encourage regular attendance.
- Work with school staff to identify patterns of absence and implement strategies to address concerns.
- Ensure compliance with school policies and local authority regulations on attendance.
- Support the development and implementation of initiatives to improve attendance across the school.
- Maintain up-to-date records and produce reports for senior leadership.
The Ideal Candidate:
- Strong organisational skills with an eye for detail.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and improving attendance.
- Experience working in a school or education setting (desirable but not essential).
- Knowledge of relevant policies and legislation related to school attendance.
- Sims and or Bromcom experience
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
