Hunter AHP is recruiting for a Pharmacy Assistant to join a renowned NHS Hospital in Surrey. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to high-quality patient care while developing your skills within a supportive hospital pharmacy team.
- Assist in the safe and efficient dispensing of medication to hospital patients.
- Support qualified pharmacists with the preparation and labelling of pharmaceuticals.
- Organise and maintain medication supplies and stock levels.
- Ensure accurate record-keeping and assist with inventory management.
- Provide advice and information to patients and hospital staff on prescribed medications, under supervision.
- Assist in the storage and distribution of medicines in line with NHS standards and regulations.
- Maintain a high standard of hygiene and follow all safety protocols.
- NVQ Level 2 in Pharmacy Services (essential).
- Previous experience in a pharmacy assistant role, ideally in an NHS setting (preferred).
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A team player who is adaptable and proactive in supporting the pharmacy team.
- Knowledge of NHS systems and pharmacy practices is a plus but not essential.
- Hourly Rate: £14 - £15 per hour, depending on experience.
