Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver individualized tutoring in Math and English functional skills to the assigned student.
  • Implement differentiated instruction tailored to the student's learning needs and abilities.
  • Utilize effective behavior management strategies to promote positive learning experiences.
  • Foster a supportive and engaging learning environment, addressing SEMH complexities.
  • Collaborate with Ackerman Pierce and other stakeholders to monitor student progress and adapt strategies as needed.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Available during school hours, up to 30 hours per week.
  • Experience in delivering the National Curriculum core subjects (Math, English, Science) to students with complex and challenging needs.
  • Knowledge and experience with SEMH, ASC, MLD, and SpLD educational requirements.
  • Proven exceptional behavior management techniques.
  • Willingness to work face-to-face within the community.

Qualifications:

  • Background in teaching English, Maths, Science, or SEN classes at KS1-KS5.
  • QTS status (or equivalent) preferred, or unqualified with at least two years of experience teaching National Curriculum core subjects.
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience working within a UK school setting, specifically with students having SEMH, ASD, EBD, and associated complex needs.
