We are looking for a Utilities Project Coordinator to join a leading energy consultancy. As the Utilities Project Coordinator, you will be responsible for the co-ordination of electricity, gas, water and telecoms projects. You will be working closely with the Project Manager to ensure the successful delivery of project/ schemes in a timely and accurate manner. The Utilities Project Coordinator will be involved in different types of projects including raising applications for major utilities, new connections, upgrade electricity meter etc. Sounds like you? Key responsibilities:

  • Identify the minimum information requirements to enable a new connection application to be made to the network for gas, electricity and water connections
  • Identify the gas, electricity, sewer and water Networks based upon a site address and postcode
  • Make applications to the Networks for new gas, electricity and water connections based on information provided by the client
  • Apply for STAT plans including gas, electricity, water, sewer, telecoms and TFL
  • Understand lead times for obtaining quotations for gas, electricity, water & telecoms connections
  • Understand delivery times for new gas, electricity, water and telecoms connections
  • Interact professionally with suppliers to obtain information relevant to the project
  • Chase suppliers for information/project deliverables etc in a professional manner
  • Build strong supplier relationships

Skills and experience required:

  • Minimum 1 year experience in a similar role
  • Knowledge of Connections and metering process within the business electricity supply market.
  • Experience of project management/ coordination, with multi-client portfolios.
  • NRSWA qualification (desirable)
  • Bachelor’s Degree (desirable)
  • Intermediate excel (desirable)
  • Strong numeracy and literacy skills
