We are offering an exciting opportunity for a passionate Head of Therapy to join a service-led organisation focused on enhancing educational experiences for students with special educational needs (SEND). This role involves leading a team of therapists and contributing to our commitment to excellence in SEND education.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Leading the therapy team and collaborating with the Senior Leadership Team.
  • Developing and implementing a holistic support model for students with mild to moderate learning difficulties.
  • Delivering training on therapeutic practices to staff across the school.
  • Conducting clinical assessments and ensuring compliance with relevant legal frameworks.
  • Supporting the team in effective case management and maintaining accurate records.

Requirements:

  • Relevant degree in a therapeutic field (e.g., Occupational Therapy, Speech and Language Therapy, Psychology).
  • Professional registration with relevant bodies (e.g., HCPC, BACP).
  • Proven leadership experience in a school or paediatric setting.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively.
  • Experience with SEND and a commitment to safeguarding practices.
