My client, a leading FMCG company, is seeking a Buyer to join their Procurement and Supply Chain team in Surrey. This permanent role offers an exciting opportunity within a highly successful team managing significant company spend.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and lead sourcing strategies for raw materials and finished goods.
- Work with teams across R&D, Quality, Sourcing, and Marketing to create effective sourcing plans.
- Support business goals to improve productivity and cash flow.
- Analyze cost drivers, industry trends, and best practices to shape sourcing strategies.
- Manage pricing and supplier relationships for fish species to maintain a competitive edge.
- Ensure product quality, timely deliveries, and compliance with safety and CSR regulations.
- Oversee supplier performance and contract compliance, providing regular financial and service updates.
- Manage category risks, minimising supply issues and currency fluctuations while meeting CSR goals.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field (Master's preferred).
- Strong experience in procurement, ideally within the Food & Beverage industry.
- Familiarity with global sourcing processes and best practices.
- Experienced as a buyer within the FMCG sector.
