Are you looking for a role with a structured career path and great prospects?  If so, my client would like to hear from you. My client is a specialist technical consultancy and are looking for someone to join an analytical lab-based team.  The role will provide a mix of duties from some work in the lab, performing specialist materials-based testing but the focus is finding someone with a background or interest in Quality Procedures.

The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate: -

  • A keen interest in Quality Standards and ideally 12 months+ in a role which covers quality-based administration or quality control
  • A keen eye for detail
  • Ability to continue to learn and develop new skills
  • A desire to develop your career in quality control
  • A good level of academic achievement in Maths, Physics, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Engineering or similar would be useful

This role will be at least 50% focused on quality control.  They are looking for someone who can: -

  • Ensure quality documentation is up to date
  • Check equipment calibrations have been done properly
  • Plan quality activities within the lab
  • Champion a “Zero-Errors” culture

The remainder of the time will be hands-on in the lab.  This is a large lab environment conducting tests on sometimes heavy items so the ability to lift 25k+ is necessary in order to be able to perform the role.  This company promotes from within - they like to take people on at this level with the right background and aptitude, teach them the role and then promote them to refill at this level so prospects are genuinely excellent.
