We are currently recruiting on behalf of a social housing provider based in Surrey for a Repairs & Maintenance Manager on a permanent basis.Location: Surrey, On-site & home working

About the Role:

- The role will focus on the delivery of the reactive repairs service and voids. This will include managing the Inhouse Repairs Team and external contractors to ensure all works are completed to the required standards and timescales, along with ensuring properties are safe, secure, and inspected at the required frequencies.

  •  Oversee and manage all aspects of repairs and maintenance services within the organisations properties
  •  Manage and support a team of maintenance technicians and contractors. Ensuring appropriate training, development, and performance management to maintain high standards of service delivery
  •  Develop, manage, and monitor the annual maintenance budget, ensuring repairs and maintenance work is completed within budgetary constraints. Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising service quality
  •  Deliver repairs, maintenance, and void management within the sector
  •  Manage trade operatives, direct labour, and management of external contractors
  •  Deliver works against agreed performance indicators, contractual and statutory requirements and within agreed budgets
  •  Provide excellent customer service to tenants, addressing concerns and ensuring a responsive approach to maintenance requests
  •  Provide regular reports to senior management on the performance of the repairs and maintenance service, identifying trends, challenges, and opportunities for improvement
  •  Produce specifications and ensure works are carried out to the required standard
