Our client, a renowned company in the water sector, is currently seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor (SQS) for a Water Treatment project. The role requires being on site with hybrid working from home where possible. This exciting contract role offers a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to engage in a high-profile project outside IR35 regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Managing all aspects of quantity surveying
- Providing accurate and detailed cost management and reporting
- Ensuring all commercial objectives are achieved across the project
- Conducting cost value reconciliation and regular cost forecasting
- Preparing and negotiating subcontract and supply chain management
- Attending and contributing to project meetings, both on site and in Birmingham
- Providing expertise in contract management and dispute resolution
- Maintaining compliance with industry standards and regulations
Job Requirements:
- Extensive experience in quantity surveying, particularly within the water sector
- Proficiency in cost management and reporting techniques
- Strong understanding of construction contracts and commercial practices
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills
- Willingness to travel to the Birmingham as required
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Qualification in Quantity Surveying or a related field
