Lead Control Systems Engineer - 8 Month Contract - Based in Leatherhead, Surrey

Our Client has a requirement for a Lead Control Systems Engineer who will be required to work on a Contract basis in Leatherhead, Surrey.

Hybrid: potentially 3 days office, 2 days home

IR35 Status: Outside IR35

Rate: Negotiable

Job Description:

  • Candidate having experience in the detailed engineering phase of projects, particularly in handling packages, and will assist in designing process control systems based on DCS,ESD & FGS systems.
  • Contribute to the development of I&C design deliverables, including P&IDs, Instrument List, Instrument Specifications, and Instrument Data Sheets.
  • Work in the detailed engineering phase of projects, with a focus on handling packages.
  • Assist in the design of process control systems based on DCS, PLC, and SCADA.
  • Collaboratewith client counterparts and vendors to interface control systems and new packages.
  • Support risk assessments such as Safety Integrity Level (SIL), Layer of Protection Analysis (LOPA), and Hazard and Operability Study (HAZOP).
  • Prepare technical requisitions and conduct bid evaluations.
  • Assist in the development of Safety Requirement Specifications (SRS) and demonstrate working knowledge of IEC 61508 & IEC 61511.
  • Perform assigned automation-related job functions, including the creation of I/O lists, Instrumentation lists, and the specification of instrumentation and control elements.
  • Interface with Electrical systems and MCC.
  • Experience in Brownfield onshore projects.
  • Experience working with multiple centers.
  • Preference will be given to candidates with experience in Middle Eastern projects and familiarity with related work processes.
