We are working with a prestigious boys’ school in Surrey who is seeking a dedicated, enthusiastic, and qualified Head of Economics who is ready to contribute to the instruction and promotion of Economics at the Sixth Form level. The role also involves teaching Maths to students across all year groups within the school.  This is a permanent position starting in January or sooner. The role As a Maths and Economics specialist, you will use your experience to help students progress through the levels and help them gain crucial self-confidence.  You will need to be well qualified and capable of teaching Key Stage 3 to Key Stage 5, which includes the teaching of GCSE and A Level Maths following the Edexcel course. The ideal candidate:

  • Deliver well-structured, engaging lessons for students of all ages and abilities.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and contribute to department meetings.
  • Take initiative in improving schemes of work and developing departmental resources.
  • Monitor, record, and support student progress, especially for those with potential or specific needs.
  • Participate in personal and professional development, including INSET and CPD programs.
  • Assist with extra-curricular activities, student support outside class, and contribute to subject clinics and exam preparation.
  • Have QTS (Essential)
