Housing Options Officer - Surrey - Hybrid - Immediate Start

Your responsibilities will be as follows:

  • You must have experience in triage with a previous role.
  • Extensive experience in taking cases from Triage through to main duty and section 184 decision making.
  • Demonstrate a confident working knowledge of Part 7 and Part 6 of the Housing Act 1996.
  • Assess and case work homeless applications made to the council, ensuring compliance with homelessness legislation, specifically the Homelessness Reduction Act 2017 (HRA).

You must have experience or knowledge in:

  • Demonstrated understanding of homelessness legislation, including the Homelessness Reduction Act 2017 and relevant sections of the Housing Act 1996.
  • Confident working knowledge of Part 7 and Part 6 of the Housing Act 1996
