Responsibilities:

  • Provide advice and guidance to employers, agencies, and voluntary organisations on concerns or allegations involving those working with children and young people.
  • Chair child protection strategy meetings concerning allegations against staff, carers, and volunteers.
  • Liaise with the police and relevant agencies to manage allegations effectively.
  • Report significant safeguarding issues and high-profile cases to the LADO Partnership or senior managers.
  • Collaborate with the LADO Partnership and Surrey Safeguarding Children Board (SSCB) on inter-agency performance management processes and standards.
  • Deliver child protection training to staff and volunteers.
  • Analyse performance management data and support the preparation of reports for senior management.

Essential Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with Childrens Services, in a LADO position, for a minimum of three years.
  • Valid registration with Social Work England.
  • Valid UK drivers license, with access to own car & ability to travel nationally.
  • Strong assessment and analytical skills, with the ability to identify risks.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A commitment to upholding the highest standards of professional ethics and integrity.
