Overview:Join a dynamic team of Senior Practitioners in Surrey MASH, where you will play a crucial role in safeguarding children and families. As a Senior Social Worker, you'll provide expert guidance, conduct assessments, and collaborate with partner agencies to ensure effective service delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work collaboratively with a team of Senior Practitioners and Triage Officers, offering guidance, support, and supervision to enhance service delivery within the MASH.
  • Conduct thorough assessments of children and families, analyzing information to determine risk levels and appropriate interventions.
  • Collaborate with partner agencies to gather and share information, ensuring a coordinated approach to safeguarding.
  • Make informed decisions regarding immediate protection and intervention, prioritizing the safety and well-being of children.
  • Provide expert advice on complex cases, ensuring adherence to statutory requirements and best practice.
  • Maintain accurate records of assessments, interventions, and case progress, in compliance with data protection policies.
  • Support the development of policies, procedures, and training programs to enhance the effectiveness of the MASH team.

Requirements:

  • Recognized social work qualification and registration with relevant professional body.
  • Extensive experience in children's services, particularly in safeguarding and child protection.
  • Sound knowledge of legislation, policies, and procedures related to child protection.
  • Strong assessment and analytical skills, with the ability to make informed decisions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, fostering effective relationships with colleagues, agencies, and families.
  • Ability to work under pressure, prioritizing workload to ensure timely service delivery.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development and staying updated with current research and best practices.
