Principal Systems Engineer

£55,000 - £61,500

We are looking for an Experienced Systems engineer who has worked with all aspects of products, including design throughout its lifecycle, implementing a variety of tool and techniques. Who is also experience working with agile methodologies, right through to a Model Based Approach to Systems Engineering.

Day to day you'll be -

  • Capture agreed technical requirements in accordance with company and programme processes
  • Deliver compliant technical solutions against contractual requirements and regulations
  • Provide engineering Lifecycle Management (LCM) adherence for all deliverables, Subcontract Design Reviews and relevant input to project LCM activities
  • Deliver design change requirements and documentation generated, captured, configured and controlled in accordance with company processes
  • Provide specialist technical input, review and support into projects beyond the immediate scope as an independent thereofLeverage systems experience and knowledge in both the tactical and strategic development of other engineers and relevant members of other supporting functions
  • Provide technical support to integrated performance and acceptance activities, including acceptance of equipment from suppliers through to system acceptance by the customer
  • Work with various engineering teams to improve own levels of domain knowledge and subject matter expertise whilst guiding and supporting more junior members of the team.

Experience we would be looking for -

  • STEM Degree or equivalent qualification and experience within an engineering background
  • Specific Systems Engineering experience and experience using tools such as IBM DOORS and extensive experience with Enterprise Architect
  • Experience in leading small teams
  • Experience in relevant industry
  • Knowledge and expertise in Systems Engineering processes and practices (V model-based experience)

Experience we would like to see -

  • Obtained or capable of obtaining relevant Professional Registration (CEng)
