We are on the lookout for seasoned SEN/ASD Secondary HLTAs to become a vital part of our committed team. This role is perfect for individuals who are passionate about supporting secondary school students with special educational needs and autism spectrum disorders. Day-to-day of the role:

  • Provide tailored support to students with special educational needs and autism spectrum disorders.
  • Work closely with teachers to implement individual education plans (IEPs) and ensure that students' learning and behavioural needs are met.
  • Assist in the development and delivery of engaging educational activities that cater to the needs of SEN and ASD students.
  • Monitor and report on the progress of students, providing feedback to teachers and parents as necessary.
  • Facilitate a safe and supportive learning environment that encourages student participation and engagement.
  • Collaborate with other educational professionals to promote inclusive education practices.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Experience working as a HLTA, specifically with SEN and ASD students in a secondary school environment.
  • HLTA qualification is preferred but not essential.
  • Strong understanding of the educational needs and challenges faced by students with special educational needs and autism spectrum disorders.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, teachers, and parents.
  • Commitment to professional development and staying updated with the latest educational practices and methodologies.
