We are on the lookout for seasoned SEN/ASD Secondary HLTAs to become a vital part of our committed team. Day-to-day of the role:
- Provide tailored support to students with special educational needs and autism spectrum disorders.
- Work closely with teachers to implement individual education plans (IEPs) and ensure that students' learning and behavioural needs are met.
- Assist in the development and delivery of engaging educational activities that cater to the needs of SEN and ASD students.
- Monitor and report on the progress of students, providing feedback to teachers and parents as necessary.
- Facilitate a safe and supportive learning environment that encourages student participation and engagement.
- Collaborate with other educational professionals to promote inclusive education practices.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Experience working as a HLTA, specifically with SEN and ASD students in a secondary school environment.
- HLTA qualification is preferred but not essential.
- Strong understanding of the educational needs and challenges faced by students with special educational needs and autism spectrum disorders.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, teachers, and parents.
- Commitment to professional development and staying updated with the latest educational practices and methodologies.
