Day-to-Day Responsibilities- Deliver and develop the curriculum, considering the educational, physical, and social needs of the students.
- Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to enhance educational outcomes.
- Utilize and maintain planning resources to effectively deliver the curriculum.
- Set, monitor, and review personalised learning targets to optimize student development.
- Assess and report on student progress to parents, staff, and relevant bodies as per school policies.
- Develop lesson plans with a reflective approach to teaching and learning.
- Manage classroom dynamics, ensuring a structured learning environment that promotes motivation and engagement.
- Handle challenging behaviours within the framework of school policies.
- Contribute to the review and development of EHC plans and other statutory processes.
- Qualified Teacher Status or equivalent teaching qualification.
- Experience in a special school setting, particularly with pupils with ASC and SEND.
- Proven ability to deliver a differentiated curriculum to pupils with diverse needs.
- Desirable: Further qualifications in SEND.
- Comprehensive knowledge of the national curriculum and its application to students with autism and complex needs.
