Speech and Language Therapist - Adult Neuro

If you are a highly motivated, enthusiastic and flexible Band 6 or 7 Speech and Language Therapist with experience working within a neuro rehab settinf, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join the Team.

Salary: £300 per day

What you will be doing:

  • Will manage own diary and bookings.
  • Caseload will be Stroke, ABI, Parkinsons, MND and MS patients.
  • To be experience in dysphagia and aphasia and motor and speech disorders.
  • Small stock of SLT equipment located at Civic centre.
  • With each service, initial letter to GP.
  • Once patient ready for discharge final letter to GP.

All assessments are paper based.

Each Tuesday there is a MDT from 9 - 10 all staff to attend.

Each day staff to send team email to confirm workload of the day.

Each day staff to participant in group whatsapp for check ins.

What you'll need as a Speech and Language Therapist - Adult Neuro:

  • Highly specialist knowledge acquired through degree or equivalent qualifications, including further theoretical training and experience to Master's level equivalent in required speciality
  • Continued Professional Development evidenced by attendance at short specialist postgraduate courses to maintain and develop own specialist knowledge and expertise.
  • Recognised Speech & Language Therapy Degree Qualification or equivalent (Post Graduate Diploma or MSc in Speech & Language Therapy leading to registration with HCPC)
  • HCPC Licence to Practice, Registered member of Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists, Membership of relevant CEN
  • 6 months of paid patient facing UK nursing experience from within the past 3 years
  • Up-to-date clinical best practice knowledge
  • The right to work in the UK
