We have a fabulous new role, working for a Surrey based leading supplier of paper to the publishing industry, as their new Paper Supply Chain Executive. This is a newly created role for the team, and we are looking for a motivated and skilled individual, as this role is pivotal in managing the flow of paper products for their publishing clients. The company is part of a larger international paper distributing organisation who offer print production services and marketing consultancy services.

This is a varied role, which will involve liaising with publishing customers, forecasting and ordering paper for their publishing customers, based on production schedules, ensuring seamless coordination between publishers, paper mills, printers and internal departments.

Some of the key responsibilities will include:

  • Monitoring and managing paper stock levels
  • Price negotiation support
  • Develop strong working relationships with printers and main paper manufacturers
  • Provide usage and stock reports for print price negotiations

The successful person will play a key role in optimising the company’s supply chain operations and we are looking for a pro-active individual with great communications skills who has experience working within book production ideally, or experience within magazine production or the book paper industry, or experience within a print distribution organisation. You will have experience using Excel and a genuine interest in the publishing production process.
