A great opportunity to work for this small independent TMC in Surrey , as a Senior Business Travel Consultant, you will be managing a variety of corporate travel requests from your clients, overseeing the process from start to finish.

The senior travel consultant specializes in planning, conducting and offering trips to established and potential clients.

Duties

  • Manage flight, car hire and hotel bookings for groups and individuals.
  • Possess the ability to creatively ticket bookings to get the best fare
  • Work to agreed company standards and client SLA's
  • Respond to all nature of client enquiries in a polite and efficient manner
  • Check availability, negotiate suitable rates and advise of any special requirements.
  • Ensure all changed or cancelled travel arrangements are re-issued, cancelled and refunded as per company standard.
  • Excellent customer service experience with the ability to build a natural rapport with key clients
  • Confident in all areas of using the SABRE CRS, including building and maintaining client profiles, special needs, frequent traveller memberships, reissues and manual fare builds.
  • Aware and implements cost savings to clients whist adhere to the corporate travel policy
  • Maintain quality control
  • Be proactive, self-motivated, ensure accuracy and effective at time management
  • The ability to multitask and prioritise workflow
  • Perform well under pressure and meet required deadlines
  • Suggest, implement and maximize all avenues of earnings for the company to increase profitability
  • Handle complaints and disputes in a timely manner whilst maintaining client satisfaction
  • Have full knowledge of net, published, cluster, IT, RTW, companion and other fare types, including ticketing and booking procedures.
  • Advise manager to changes of client trading patterns or staff
  • Source and supply information for use on social media sites and newsletters and forward to relevant colleague.
  • Demonstrate "switch selling" if possible to suppliers which provide the highest commission levels

Progression opportunities

Salary up to £35,000 Plus Bonus
