A Warehouse and Distribution business is seeking a Transport Planner to work within their Transport operation to help them fulfil an increasing level of orders. Supplying their services to customers across the UK, from small regional businesses to large blue-chip companies. This role is an exciting and challenging opportunity for a Transport Planner looking to make a real impact in this business.
You will be responsible for the transport planning of their in-house fleet of around 30 class 1 and 2 vehicles to deliver your products to customers across the UK.
As the Transport Planner you will be -
- Planning resources to meet work demands and minimum key performance indicators.
- Assigning and maximising the utilisation of drivers and vehicles daily.
- Keeping up to date status of the jobs and communicate updates as necessary.
- Using the in-house system to contact drivers with any updates.
- Handling and resolving any issues from drivers and customers.
- Working alongside a team of transport planner and warehouse team to ensure the customer expectations are exceeded.
Ideally you will have the following experience -
- Prior working history as a Transport Planner/Clerk/ Co-Ordinator
- Working in fast-paced route planning environment
- Day-to-day planning of collections and drops across the UK.
- Delivering exceptional customer service to external and internal customers.
- Knowledge and experience with route planning systems.
- Strong Excel knowledge is essential.
- Managing own time, planning and performance on a day-to-day basis
An office-based role, situated at their site in the Ledbury. Working Monday - Friday offering a competitive salary.
